Absolutely!!! I buy blocks of cheese when ever the are on sale. I will cut up the block 3 ways- 1. to shred, 2. to cube 3. leave in block form. After I shred and cube- they are go into their baggies with a date on the lable and then into the freezer they go. You pay more for shredded cheese- so save some dough and do it yourself.

You can freeze it but do not shred it first, Keep it in its original wrapper then wrap it in heavy duty plastic wrap, then put them in a heavy duty zipper type freezer bag, This should be eaten within two mos and when you are wanting to thaw this i would do it in the refrigerator.

Absolutely. Just make sure to date it. Freezing is a good way of preserving or actually extending its shelf life. You save lots of money too cause you do'nt waste it.
