I'm a Lovecraft junkie. Dagon, A Shadow Over Innsmouth, and The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward are some of my favorite stories. Oh, I almost forgot Herbert West-Reanimator. Thanks for reminding me, now I have to dig out my old books.

I read many of Lovecraft's books. I never felt the need to re-read them. I constantly find new inspiration in the Bible, so I'd choose the Bible.

With no other choices, I'd give up on reading and I would concentrate on making musical instruments out of native materials. Is there bamboo on this island? I could perfect my flute-making. I am certain that if I was all alone on an island, I wouldn't want to think about Cthulu. Yeesh!

Hmm...you're asking me to choose between a bleak, pessimistic view of the universe where humanity is hopelessly lost and doomed, or H.P. Lovecraft?
I'll pick Lovecraft.

Aw - couldn't you have picked someone better - HPL isn't bad but he's so damned BORING!
James Joyce, Thomas Ligotti, Thomas Pynchon - ugh
but still, I'd rather have the complete Lovecraft then the bible - talk about wordy!
