In the proper manner? The rest of your life and more. The Louvre houses more than 35.000 items not to mention those they have off display.

I seem to remember a tour guide saying that it would take about a week to view all the the Louvre has on display. That isn't stopping to look, but more like looking as one walks past it.

I don't know how long it would take to view EVERYTHING they have (in the basement, storage, etc.) but I would imagine years at the same pace.

I have been there a couple of times and spent 2 days walking around - seemed to be impossible to see it all.

Weeks at the very least, i imagine. Perhaps even months or years.
