The local shelter. Many are looking for new homes, and make really great pets. They are temperment tested, come with lots of "extras" for one low price and you are saving a life. They also seem more "gratefull" because they know just how bad life can get.

Call a vet in your area and ask for the number of a Chihuahua rescue group in your area. There are also probably a few rescue groups that specialize in small dogs too.
The SPCA
Most cities have a few private rescue groups. Ask at the SPCA.
Animal control.
DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER ANIMALS DIE!!

I urge you to go to www.petfinder.com. On there you can search for the dog and it will bring up all the shelters and rescue groups in your area that have that type of dog right now. Please don't support breeders their hearts aren't for the animals.

your best bet would be the newspaper, people are always selling dogs and advertising in the paper.
