Situation: You met this woman out at a bar & were immediately taken with her. She was witty, intelligent, funny, beautiful, & you approached her right away, talked all night, & began dating soon afterwords. At a certain point, she became disconnected, aloof, & even spat out a few quotes that one could classify as 'psycho' such as mentioning your parents or something crazy like that. For obvious reasons, things ended & you two went your separate ways. Months or even years down the road (regardless of whether or not either of you are with someone else) you meet her again & talk. She apologizes for acting like that & explains that she was into drugs (using and dealing - not the nasty stuff though! Lets say pot and pharmaceuticals.) & only acted like that & said those things in order to keep you from wanting to get close to her cause she didn't want to reveal her secret. Do you keep thinking she's crazy, become offended, become more attracted, understand, ??? What is your reaction???

P.S. She has since cleaned up, been sober for quite some time, and have dealt with things.

My reaction would be to be very, very glad we went our separate ways and I'd do my darndest to make sure it stayed that way.

I would be nervous and wouldn't want to be bothered with her. It would also be in the back of mind as to whether or not she was telling the whole truth, so the trust wouldn't be there either.

The only thing that could change this feeling is if somehow I was still a little attracted to her and somehow we became friends. I wouldn't want to hear the "bad news" right off. She would have to say that she was just pushing me away because she really cared but was afraid of being hurt or disappointed or someting like that. Then after the relationship grew and I became MORE attached, then she could break the news little by little over time - weeks or months depending on how often we talked on the phone or in person or whatever.

I would be hurt, but if I saw that she has changed and I can see that she's clean, I would let my guard down a little bit. Hopefully, over time the trust will build and our relationship would grow.

But that's just me. I know people can change and we all do things we sometimes regret. Nobody's perfect.

I would feel that it was nice to see her again as a person. But when the psycho thing comes back into play it wouldn't be hard for me to realize again why I wasn't with that person.

would like to get her back in the sac one more time then leave again because once you become a physco, induced or not, you will always have it inside you ready to to be revealed at some stressful time or place

I would accept your apology.....then figure out if you have discovered your elbow from your as$ and decide from there!

Now if you were truly hot I'd bang you right then and there as part of your penance! Then call ya and see if you figured out your elbow from your as$ by then.

1. Understand
2. Make sure she's completely away from any of that scene.
3. See what develops as if it were a first time meeting. people change with time and I might not like the new her and she might not like the new me.

I'd just say:
"I hope things are going great for you now and I wish you all the best in the future... good bye".

Sorry, but there is no such this an intelligent drug user.

If we hit it off and I'm single, yeah I'd start to see her. What's the big deal here?

I place a lot of faith in gut feelings.
If my gut feeling was to stay away then, it would be wise to stay away now.
That ship sailed and sunk.

I would say thank you for sheltering me, and not take her back!

You know what they say: Once a quitter, always a quitter!
