Give details, what would you have/order? Would stay home, or go out to eat? What beverage would you have? Candlelit or not, music?

Nothing loud. How can you talk? I'd have something from the menu that sounded good, but not TOO expensive. After all, it's a first date. Just go to a little place and chat. I had a beer. Just one.

Now we're married. A romantic meal now is at home, on our china, watching a movie, and cuddling in blankets, with candles going.

We still have romantic dinners out, but a home one is the best!

Nice dinner wouldn't matter where - as long as the food was excellent. I like shrimp or pasta. Candlelight & soft background music. Beverage would depend on the meal - I prefer somthing tropical over wine, beer or champagne. Hopefully the opportunity to go dancing would be available after dinner & a good massage would be perfect.

I so should write a book on this, but the perfect night out would be for my husband to rent a motel room with a hot tub in it and lay rose petals all over the room and light candles, then make up some excuse like a cousin came into town and we should go see them (I love surprises!!) Or if we are on a lighter budget arrange for me to have a "day out because I deserve it" the he could have the same lay-out with flowers and candles and make a roast for dinner and strawberries and whip cream for dessert. A bubble bath just for me while he washes my back, then a massage. We don't have kids but if you do and your asking for ideas SEND THEM TO GRANDMA'S or something.

I had mine 3 years ago and it was perfect. It was at this superb little regional restaurant in Lisbon Portugal when me and my husband had visited for our honeymoon. It was a former fish warehouse turned into a cozy waterfront place with views over the Tagus that uses generations-old recipes.Candlelit dinner..We had amazing red wine[Portugese are known for their great wines]followed by a delicious meal including good-tasting paella for two, tender grilled steaks with a peppercorn sauce,a salad with lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, apple, orange and nuts and for dessert we had almond and potato cake..sounds bad but was great!!Unbelievably great food.I will never forget that night.
