This plan should be a sensible one to both sides:

1. U.S. citizens do not hate Mexicans, we just feel that a massive influx of illegal Mexicans (65% of all illegals by some estimates) needs to come down to a trickle.
2. A border fence is the only sensible way to slow down illegal entry. Of course a border fence will not be 100% effective, but if we can slow down the rate of illegals from 1 million a year down to only 175,000 a year that's alot of progress.
3. The high rate of illegal Mexicans combined with a high rate of birth by those same Mexicans is putting tremendous strain on our schools and social services and as a result their remittances back to mexico should be taxed since they do not pay FEDERAL INCOME TAX.
4. ESOL class should only be for one year. There is no reason why it should take a child longer than one year to learn functional english. "English First" should be a national policy when it comes to education.

5. Create a "Guest Worker Department" within the government. This office would keep track of the names and locations of those that really want to be here only for work. This would come with a special ID card and other priveledges. If in fact they only want to work here seasonally and go back home to Mexico during the off season, they should have no problem identifying themselves.

6. Decrease the paperwork and fees associated with legal immigration. This would allow more Mexicans -- as well as South Americans, Africans, Eastern Europeans and Asians more opportunities.

..... I know there are some that say the U.S. is "picking on Mexican", but it's not that at all. The fact is that roughly 65% of all illegal immigrants are Mexican. 65% from just one country!!! Many of them see themselves as Mexican first and have no loyalty to the United States whatsoever. When you have a subculture like that that speaks a different language with their loyalties somewhere else it's only a matter of time before you start hearing the word "secession."

You are close but, the fence will not work! I go to Sonora Mexico every week, when returning I wait in the customs line (outside) and watch illegals go back and forth under the fence... The distance from me to the port of "crawling under the fence" is about 500 yards. On a good day there is close to a dozen people making that crawl during the 15 to 20 minutes that I am observing. That's only what I can see! There's still 699 more miles that I can't see.

I'm convinced that the fence is just another obstacle and will be the reason for more tunnels which are great for drug runners.

No doubt you are correct about the strain on our tax system. And, something needs to be done. This is just a crazy idea but: How about immigration and border patrol doing the job they are supposed to do in the first place!

I noticed a few months back they started going after companies that hired illegals but nothing since. Maybe after they've rested they'll start again.

NO to any type of amnesty, I haven't any compassion for illegals regardless of in which they're from. they realize what they're doing. what message could that train our kids, cry racism and it's ok to damage the legislation so long as your making improvements to your existence, how ridiculous. No we weren't all immigrants as soon as, and people who have been got here right here both earlier than immigration legislation have been in situation or got here legally. If amnesty is ever handed, you're going to look the equal factor occur. The individuals paying those coyotes are simply as responsible and must obtain harsh punishments additionally, they positioned their kid's and households lives in hazard via determining to return right here in this type of approach. no questions requested, are you severe, do you notice what number of criminals, I.D stealing, gang contributors and many others... that could be allowed to stick. You might desire those illegals for your dwelling the city or town however seventy five% of American residents don't. No amnesty below any occasions. Deportation is the one answer, and it used to be performed earlier than and can also be performed once more if all organizations could paintings in combination.

Its just a pity the native americans didn't put a 'border fence' as you put it all over the east coast, so your illegal immigrant forefathers couldn't come in and seriously cause problems by stealing all the land and killing everyone. I'm sure they would have rather had a few mexicans looking for jobs than your ancestors.

Ok, at first glance. BUT, if our politicians went into solving this problem like they went for war against Iraq, problem would be solved, and everybody happy.
Open borders and no immigration law enforcement is clear proof to me that the war on terror is a fiction.
