I'm going to the atl this month. I already checked airfares their an average of about $250 roundtrip, i also looked at greyhound bus and amtrak. Does anyone know of another means of travel I can look into? I cant drive by the way (im wishin i could now)

A bus is not going to save you any time-- and your time is money-- you are only getting older on that bus.

The train will always be more than a plane-- Amtrack is a government subsidized program that is known for being expensive.

Your best shot is the airplane. There are several major airlines that use atlanta as a base-- Delta, Air Tran to name a few. From new York I would expand out the cities you can fly from rather than resort to a bus. Look into flying from Newark in New Jersey, Stewart Airport in New York State, or Islip Airport on Long Island (Southwest flies there). Those are your best options. Be flexiable with dates, times, and stopovers.

Or you could post an ad on craigslist-- there might be someone going to Atlanta

good luck
