My ex and I have become best friends after we broke. We actually know each other better now than before. He calling me his rock. What does it mean? Is it a step to getting back together some time down the line??

It means you're a foundation to him. "Solid as a rock" Ya'll are tight - Could be you're just his best friend, might be a sign he's hopeful for future possibilities of hookin' back up - But you're not going to know for sure until you ask HIM!!!

It means that you are always there when he needs you. That he knows when everything else in his life is a mess he can depend on you. This alone is not a sign of wanting to get back together however coupled with other things it could be a step in that direction.

It could mean one of two things...it might just mean you are his "rock" in helping him. You are a great friend to him. He knows he can
count on you. That you are always there for him when he needs support
Or
It could mean you are "rock" to go back to when things don't work out else where because he knows you are there & there is a strong foundation there...make sense?
It most likely means the first one & means he cares a lot about y'alls friendship.

Some people get along better as friends than as lovers.
I wouldn't read anything into this...just enjoy the new relationship you have with him. Not everyone can find friendship with an ex after the split.

That is up to you and him but just wait and see dont waste time worrying if it will happen or it wont just be happy that you are best friends now. Then when the moment is right he can be your rock to. Just be patient and wait for Gods timeing is always right.

it could mean that or it could just mean that u are better off as friends if hes saying it now. but dont jump to conclusions u should wait it out and see so there is no embarrassment. it could be a sign that ur reall y important to him also so dont push him away by showing feelings too soon.

Calling someone their rock means that he can depend on you, you are always there for him, etc. Doesn't necessarily mean he wants a relationship.
