What does each one focus more on. What are the pros and cons of each? Is one more aerobic while the other strengthens and tones more? (i mean if I buy tapes) Not looking for a answer that just says do yoga, or do pilates.

Yoga is more of a stretching excercise and a slower pace. Pilates is faster pace you is more repetitive in exercises. I've done with Windsor Pilates and I've done a Yoga Tape. It depends if you are looking for something to loose weight and tone or are you looking for a strength and stretching?

Yoga combines breathing techniques, poses, and meditation to strengthen and tone the mind and body. I'm not as familiar with Pilates, but I believe it is a more strenous physical workout than Yoga.

Yoga = Relaxing, and Stretches
Pilates = Abs, intense work-out

Yoga will more likely transform your life and increase your well being. Pilates is more fitness-oriented and will increase your core strength, balance, posture and all those wonderful things.
Try both and see what you like better. But I think yoga provides more for your life in the long run.

It depends are you looking for stretching and strength go for yoga.
