Test drove the Caliber. About "average" as far as comparability to the Pontiac Vibe. I felt it was somewhat underpowered(158hp 4cylinder), and had alot of lean in the higher speed turns. Averaged a little over 23 mpg during my "road test" and the visibility from inside driver's seat wasn't the best in the world. The pillars were thicker in the front and got even bigger as you went farther back in the vehicle. For the price and the comfort...I think it looks like a "budget car" inside...nothing really worth writing home to mom about...overall...average...IMHO

Real world mileage is 24mpg regardless of what it may be rated. My only "comfort camplaint is the wide side sill yoy must step over to get in and out. Other than those 2 issues I REALLY like them.

A friend of mine tried one and we liked it, specially the one with 5 speeds. Good car for the money.
