You may be washing too often; Cut back a little because your hair could obviously use those natural oils or don't use shampoo every wash if you are washing every 1-2 days, just use water or shampoo every other wash.
Start with a clean slate, cut off split ends.
For my dry hair I put a bit of jojoba and/or castor and/or olive oil in my shampoo and/or conditioner. For deep conditioning I use jojoba and a medicated conditioner under a hooded dryer for 20 minutes.
Every 4-6 weeks I use aphogee protein treatment. this really helped my hair after chemical damage two years ago and I never stopped using it (it strenthens to prevent split ends)
I also started taking a viatmin b complex ( liquid ), zinc, iron, and flaxseed (capsules), I also just started taking L-arginine.
Other tips, avoid products with mineral oil, look for moisturizers that list water as the first ingredient, protect hair at night and in winter by changing pillowcases regularly, wearing satin head wrap (at might and/or under winter hats) or pillowcases, wash all combs and brushes (natural boar) regularly, and drink lots of water

Best advice is eat a healthy diet, it makes a tremendous difference to your hair. Concentrate on foods containing B vitamins - supplements are not as good. Stress affects your hair as does lack of sleep and too much alcohol.
Stick to mild shampoos that doesn't strip your hair of its natural oils. don't shampoo more than once a week and avoid dandruff shamppos like the plague as some contain irritating chemicals that can make the problem worse..
Henna is the greatest conditioner - you don't need to colour your hair and it leaves your hair beautifully shiny. I swear it makes your hair grow faster too, but that is just my opinion.
Ever noticed how beautiful Indian ladies' hair is? They give their hair regular oil treatments - almond would be a good choice for a dry, irritated scalp. Some people think that dandruff is actually a type of eczema, so you can see why moisturising the scalp and eating well will help.
Leave oil on overnight for best results or just 10 mins if pushed for time and shampoo out.

Sometimes a hair dresser can give you a solution, sometimes they can confuse you; all of it for and exspensive price. Try home remedies first. Make sure you use conditioners when you was your hair. Check the shampoo you use and be sure its not too harsh for your hair. Sometimes that'll do it. Gettiing a trim helps, and don't use just any gel. Try to get an inexspensive gel that doesn't have lots of ingrediants in it. Your diet can also effect your hair.

Sounds like your diet is not right... Try a supplement called MSM. It has been said to be good for your joints, but it truly is a magic pill and works wonders on other parts of your body too. You can read more about it by searching "MSM" on whatever search engine you prefer.
Also, try shampoo and conditioner with tea tree oil (Paul Mitchell has one) and remember to drink a lot of water every day. Good luck!

go to a salon and get a trim and ask what they think will help with your hair. You may want to try a hot oil treatment once in a while.
