Does anyone know where or how I can go about purchasing my highschool yearbooks? I graduated in 1989 and have since lost my yearbooks and would really like to have a copy. Any ideas?

How my high school worked was like this: when you registered at the beginning of the year, you paid for your yearbook at that time. Well, through the course of the year, kids would move away, drop out, get expelled and have to transfer, etc. etc. leaving about 20 to 30 extra books for each year. Contact your school and ask to speak to the faculty advisor of the yearbook staff and see if that person can help you aquire your old yearbooks. When I was on staff, we had at least 5 to 20 books for each year dating back to the 1940s in storage.

Since they only make a few copies of these (usually the same number that was pre-ordered) you are probably out of luck. Your best bet would be to call the school and local library and ask if they know of any way to purchase these. If that failed I would run an add in the local paper asking to buy copies. As a last resort you could always create a search and save it on EBay. Good luck!

1. ask your high school who was the publisher of the yearbooks
2. call the publisher -- they are your best bet because the school would only keep one in the library most likely

Call the school and see if there is some kind of Alumni Association...they could probably get them for you.
