Keep track of your milage on day to day bases. Or as someone already suggested, use www.mapquest.com (or similar) to determine the mileage. Still make sure you keep a good record of all miles driven for business purpose.
At the end of the year, add up the miles and multiply by $0.445/mile. Keep an eye on this page, http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=151226,00.html, in case the rate changes before the end of the year.
Best wishes.

Get a calender with space enough to write the beginning and ending mileage ever day you go to work. At the end of each month add up the individual daily miles and at the end of the year add up the miles per month. Any record system will work but make it just hard enough that the IRS will not want to check each day to determine if you cheated.

You can use a simple spreadsheet to track your mileage and do the calculations. I don't know if you can get on free, but I'm willing to bet you already have one. Excel is the most common on Windows machines.

I use mapquest.com. Get the travel directions from the starting point to the end point. Mapquest will tell you how many miles the entire journey is.

Quicken or Quickbooks to help out now.
Turbo Tax when you do your taxes.
Plus if you buy any of these you can deduct the cost for income tax preparation fees.

It's a good idea, but I am not familiar with software. If you have an iPhone, you could try TrackMyDrive.
