I know the street is public property but I just built this house and I would like to keep it nice..

There is a oil absorbant that you can buy, it's fairly cheap, and does the job. When they move the car, use it. If they say anything, tell them you did not want the oil tracked up into anyone's house. Tell them where you got the stuff, maybe they will help buy some.

Sounds a little prudish if you ask me. Your right, it is public property, and its the street. The street is dirty and in a few months, or years your not going to care. If you were a really good neighbor you would have already introduced yourself to your new neighbors and then you would have no problem asking them to move, but since you obviously didn't take the first step in neighborhood kindness, I don't think it should matter. Its a street. When they start parking in your driveway then you can complain.

I am sorry and this has got to be very irritating. Try talking to the cop and get that no crossing tape u know the kind they put at murder scenes or get it from the Halloween dept. put it in front of where u dont' want them to park and use some white chalk outline maybe not the nicest thing but they r not being very considerate of ur feelings

Hmphf. Why doesn't he park it in front of HIS house? Unfortunately, I don't think there is much you can do about it since it is a public street. My neighbors park their car in the yard - soooo trashy.

Well, you could try talking to your neighbor. Short of that it is a public road and I do not think there is any law against oil drips on the street.

There is not much that you can legally do to prevent this from happening. We actually bought a third vehicle so we can part it in front of our house and block people from parking there but that might not be feisable for you!

Glass...whenever there is broken glass on the street, in a parking lot, etc. no one goes near that spot.

No problemo... just run the water sprinklers so they fall on the neighbor's car and cause waterspots. He'll move the car and solve your problem.

talk to them, leave a note on their car asking, in a very polite way!, not to park there
