My friends really dont like the girl im went to homecoming with. One of them in particualr shares a lunch period with her. One day he probably said something negative about her to one of her friends and doesnt remember it. So one day, during lunch, she goes up to him and asks him why he talks **** about her behind her back and asked him y he said that shes not good enough to go to homecoming with me. Being an ***, he told her to go and look in the mirror. When i found out about this, i called my asshole friend who made it sound like it was insignificant and that he was joking. Then i called her to ask her what happened and to c if she was ok. The next day, my friend tell me in exact words, 'tell your ******* ho to stop talking to me." Now her friends think im reall sweet cuz i called ehr to make sure she was ok. Did i handle this correctly? I try to stay tolerant with my friend since we've been best buds for like 6 years.

If he is truly your "best bud" he would apologize to you and her for being such an a**. I think you did the correct thing by checking to make sure she was okay. And I hope you have learned a lesson about talking about people behind their backs, it is so much easier to just be nice or don't say anything at all. You will feel better for it and you just might get the reputation for being a nice person instead of the reputation your friend is building for himself.

Yes, I think you did a good job of defending your date.
Is it possible that your friend is jealous of your date or is he worried that a girlfriend might take away your time with him? Talk to him about it, but make sure that he understands that being disrespectful to a girl you like isn't a very friendly thing to do :)
Good Luck and Happy Homecoming!

Seems like you handled it right to me. Maybe your friend is jealous because you are with the girl. Maybe, just maybe your friend likes her himself. Have you ever thought of that? Ask him oneday what's the real deal he has with this girl? I understand that you have been friends with him for quite some time. Sit them both down and ask your friend why he don't like her. Maybe the truth will really come out. Take Care.

I think you did the right thing. It's none of your friends business who you like or go out with. If they were really friends they would accept your choice and not make such a big deal of it. Also it was very sweet of you to call her :o)

Good job. your friend is a blowhard. unless - if it really wasn't a big deal, just have him let her know if you two want to remain friends. sometimes, words just fall out of people's mouth in foot-in-mouth syndrome, and people don't really mean what they say. then again, it really is a person's reaction to a situation that shows their intelligence (yogic intelligence - defined as the ability to make decisions and discern based on existing information).
yeah, I'll stick with your friend's a blowhard.

You did quite well with the girl. However, I wouldn't give your friend too much slack because if he's really your friend he won't mouth off about a girl you're seeing. He's certainly not being a friend to you, now is he?

listen, for you to be rest assured let your friend appologise to your girl friend in your presence, then you would have taking care of it but other than that , you might be running out of gas, unless you will deside to sleep with your friend. trust me the reprecurssion in on the way if not fix now, make him to appologise. whereby he refuse, trust me he is not a good friend because good friends cares about your feeling and your happiness, and the girl might be the one for you to get those

Of course you handled this situation correctly. You are able to put yourself in the other person's place and know how you would feel and your mother would be very proud.

You handled the situation with ease..if your friend is really your friend he wont do it again, considering he knows the consequences.
