What is going on?

I told this girl I have been friends with for years that I have "feelings" for her. We had gotten much closer the last few months, and I wanted to tell her the truth. We emailed back and forth to discuss what this meant. She kept asking me what I wanted from our friendship since we were already friends. All we did was confuse each other. She tried to interpret my feelings and said she had the same though they are not developing it is nice to know they are there. I set up a time to meet with her and talk because we are both confused, and she seems really eager to hear what I have to say. What is going on? And what is she wanting to hear from me??
