I think it is hard for anyone to tell the difference. The world just doesn't like a "know-it-all" and that's all there is to it. Its awful lonely being right all the time.

I would have to say that they both generally go hand in hand, some may appear arrogant by throwing big words around and enjoying it when the person you're talking to doesn't understand whayt your saying so you think you need to " Dumb it up" a little, and then there are some who truly don't even realize that attempting to use big words actually makes you look more like a horses arss. Which are you?

I know the difference. However I do know guys who were very smart and tended to throw it in peoples faces. Such as always correcting EVERYTHING that was incorrect. Which is rude and arrogant. Not that it's wrong to correct something but to do it constantly can be a put down to people. It would be like someone very fashionable always poking at what's wrong with other people's outfits.

There is a line between the two & we do know the difference...from your question maybe your are suggesting that guys don't know the line between them.
Intelligence is actually know a subject but not being boastful about it...informing others you know in a subtle
Arrogance is knowing the subject & making sure everyone knows you know...most of the time in a loud way.

I dont find it difficult at all. Intelligence is being eductaed on a subject and being arrogant is the whole"i knw" attitude. I hate arrogance.

that's a very interesting question. One I've never heard phrased before. You have given me something new to think about today, thank you. Now that you bring it up I've know A LOT of girls who couldn't tell the difference.

Intelligent people don't need to flaunt their intelligence. If you have to tell people how smart you are, chances are you're not that smart.
