Actually, if there weren't sin in the heart of man there would be no death, no killing, not even a reason for war. Religion isn't really the problem, and differences in religious opinion are not the problem either. It's the motivation of the heart that's at the root of the problem. If there's hatred in the heart it's going to manifest in some way or another. Murder, wars, fightings, etc., are the extremes in this manifestation. Then we have all the various forms of human abuse - the whole gamut from verbal abuse to psychological warfare. It's all out of the same motivation - hatred, rage, and the like.

Net Creativity.
Not a religion, but a philosophy. Religion is, by nature, competitive: a church 'sells' you on an idea, and they are the 'best' provider of that service to get you a reserved place in heaven. It's all in the marketing.
Net Creativity just means that everyone has to work toward being Creators more than Consumers. That's it.
They can do it by joining churches, being atheists, being hermits or socialites. Nature will make the final decision, and if we consume more than we create in future usefulness, we will go extinct.
We already have the knowledge, we just have to get people to realize what they are doing to themselves with all the competition and money they waste on trying to find out what they are here for.

If the world had only 1 religion, that would be deemed proof that it was true, and all of humanity would be severly oppressed by it as a result. Just look at any region or time period where 1 religion dominates and you can see what things would be like.
There would be fewer wars, but overall human suffering would be much greater I think.
It would make more sense simply to eliminate all religions.

I personally think if everyone were spiritual rather than religious we would all be on the same side. We are ALL one in spirit, we are ALL part of God. Man creates religion, not God. God wants us to love one another unconditionally. If everyone Loved unconditionally there would be no war. Its the belief in one's religion that makes people scorn one another, this is not of god or what he wants. Everyone will make it to heaven, GOD IS NOT PREJUDICE, it doesn't matter if your buddist, monk, jewish, christian, islam, or of no religion at all. God just wants us to love unconditionally. This is what the world needs. It is the understanding that we are all the same in spirit, we are a spiritual being in a shell we call a body. We are here on this earth so our spirit can learn. This life on earth is a school, heaven is our actual home.
We are here to learn how to love uncondionally.
Love = peace = God.

Religion is basically spiritual common ground. Believing the same things. Cults are human's creating their own spirituality, and trying to create followers so that it too can be a religion. I believe that if all are spiritual in general, with no consent to what others believe, and if they accept what others believe, then the war issue would cease and there could be peace on religious topics. Acceptance and Understanding are the keys here.

No. Then everyone would be fighting on little points of the religion. Look how different sects of Islam and Christianity fight. Also I don't think everyone could believe the same religion, what would happen to the non believers.

No. At the point that there is only one religion in the world, that is the point when the world has become completely controlled, in a big brother sort of way. Fighting and dying for what you believe in is far more noble than living in a conformist society.
Let them fight, even if their ideals are completely screwed up. Besides... it's population control!

As I have said many times, the problem is not religion, but sin. People will kill each other regardless of religious affiliation. The wars in the Middle East are not about religions, but about politics and politics is about a sinful a business as you can involve yourself in. It respects no one and has no rules.
