Olive green is excellent paired in colors just like a salad olive.

Choose orange, reds, and yellows to offset the olive. Neutral cream on the floor will look fab with it, to me.

I am thinking...retro is in...so go retro all the way!

I looked up the colors on the Sherman Williams paints web site:

I thought that since you live in Florida and plan to use tropical plants why not keep with the tropical theme. A nice coral color looks great with the olive green. Think of the color of shells, corals, and sea grasses. It shouldn't be hard to work with and in my opinion will turn out quite nice.

The only colour I can think of being ok with olive green and cream, if not cream, then chocolate. I'd be inclined to use a rich cream on the walls, adam cream or regency cream, then use oak or mahogany planters for the plants. You can then add splashes of colour with the furniture. Curtains dramatic, such as William Morris. Hope this helps. Victorian and regency would be great eras to recreate with the olive green.

Look for a beautiful rug with olive green (check out Pottery Barn, for example) and then go with the color scheme that results. It will be your inspiration piece.

UGH! Sorry, but that color makes me want to hurl! It IS making a comeback of sorts, but ask yourself how long it will last before you're sick of it! My advice is to trade those old, green clunkers in to a salvage place (or to Habitat for Humanity) and get some neutral appliances/fixtures!
