I would first ask that you check out a height and weight chart to determine an average weight for your age and height. I assume, not knowing your age that 50lbs or less may be a typo. Secondly, you must understand that the way you look at any given age is influenced by your genetics, and you can't do much about that. You can however control some things in your life that can certainly make you look older sooner.

One of the biggest things that you can do is STOP your use of tobacco products. Tobacco places you in a very poor state of health and will make you look much older than your genes dictate. I don't mean that they will make you look more mature either. Your skin will be affected with premature age lines, poor hydration resulting in loss of tone, you skin color and its texture will simply begin to look awful.

Your lungs will be affected by diminishing the oxygen being delivered to your cells that can lead to poor organ function. You will find breathing to be more difficult which will prevent you from exercising like you should. This will result in unhealthy weight gain or loss.

Alcohol should not be used by a developing teen. Your body is developing (in a good way) and alcohol serves no purpose in this process and in fact, can harm you physically and mentally.

Drugs should be avoided at all costs.

You can do things that will help you a lot in the long run like limit your sugar intake, eat nutritional well balanced meals, drink water, brush your teeth at least twice a day and find an exercise that you enjoy and do it on a regular basis.

Sleep is very important also if you are a teenager. I don't mean staying up all night and sleeping your day away either. Go to bed a reasonable hour and try to sleep a full eight hours.

Be safe, live healthy and enjoy this time. Don't worry about maintaining the looks of a teenager for ever. If you do all the right things your looks will develop handsomely and you will have a youthful appearance appropriate for your age. You are already ahead of most by simply asking this question.

Have a great life!

I am alot younger looking then I am. I have worn very little makeup. I don't smoke. I drink very little alcoholic beverage. Once you smoke, it is hard to reduce the age. My younger sister smokes and suntans and people think that she is 10 to 15 years older. People who have smoked tend to have laser treatment to reverse some of the age.

if you want to live to be older than a teenager you'd better gain weight and stop smoking.
