when my ex dumped me she said it would be better if we were just friends, do all girls say this or was she being genuine????

To be honest it's a bit of both really. Most if not all girls do say this, however there's a strong possibility she was actually being genuine...but don't expect things to be perfectly normal at first. Theres always that awkward period couples go through after a break up.

Sorry. I think she just said it to save your feelings a bit. It's almost impossible to stay friends with someone you've broken up with. You can be friends again in the future if you want, but right now you need to cut her out of your life and move on to the next lucky lady.

I wouldnt say it just as an excuse - Id prefer to be straight out with the guy!
Im pretty sure a lot of girls may say it though - but I think its kinda degrading as most guys know themselves that its an easy way out of having to give the real reason.

it so hard to be friends with an ex anyway that if i were you i would just let go and not worry about being friends because it is hard to have a 'normal' friendship with an ex and it makes it much harder getting over them as you are reminded of them all the time

She most likely meant it at the time, but it is very hard to be just friends after you've been in a serious relationship with someone. Move on and let her make the next move. Good luck to you.

most of them do my friend asked me out shes a girl so i felt she was desperate so said yes and she thought she was gf and dumped me and at the time i was so confused like we just when out once well the point is yes they do that a lot.

What it means is, that she doesn't want to go out with you anymore but doesn't hate you or want you to hate her. Like she said FRIENDS!! This is generally how most girls hope relationships will end. Still close friends, just no touching!
