Well consider this, Jesus himself questioned his own beliefs and convictions of who he was on more than one occasion, if we are to believe biblical literature.
As to his youth well, who knows? Suffice to say, to know good, one must first know evil.
I'm sure that were there ever a messiah to come, they would probably not realise who they were until the time was right.

Yeah, wow, maybe it's you!
Or maybe there just wasn't one in the first place. Personally I find the Matrix more believable than the idea of a real messiah.

Well, there won't be a "new" Messiah. The Messiah (Jesus Christ) has already been born onto earth and re-assended into the Heavens. The next coming of Christ will be from the Heavens and the Bible teaches that he will return on a flaming chariot of fire, and the ENTIRE world will see him when he descends onto earth. The only one left to be born on earth that will claim he is the messiah will be the anti-christ. As for the anti-christ knowing of his role..... i don't know.

"The matrix" is based on that principle; the principle that "the one" has to discover himself first. Remeber the phrase in the movie, "know yourself"? That happened to Jesus, too. Jesus knew that John the Baptist would help him "know himself" as the son of God. Also "Buddha" discovered himself as "the awakened one" after many years of meditation.
So yes, it is possible.

you,ve got to be kidding! the real messiah knows everything. 'before the world, i was!'
the fake messiah that comes first certainly knows who he is NOT!
'will you know the fake from the real', that's the question you should concern yourself with!

there is no new messiah so it makes no difference what he thinks, unless he would repent to the real One.

Hard not to know when you are already God. And if that doesn't work, the flying though the clouds might give it away to you as well.
