Compassion is a part of having faith. If you have faith in truth, then you will be compassionate. Faith causes you to be proactive in life while at the same time building people up. If you had compassion alone, people would just sit around wiping away tears worrying about what a frightful world we live in.

I have faith IN compassion. I believe that if we were all to show the compassion of say Mother Teresa we would soon live in a world with much less suffering.

To this end I volunteer time to my local Area Agency on Aging every week and serving food at homeless shelters on the holidays.

Well, since it is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6), faith is my top priority and what I give the most attention to see continually strengthened and developed in my life (Jude 1:20). And since faith is by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17), and since God has magnified His Word above all His name (Psalm 138:2) these are just a few things highlighted in the Word of God that tells me faith, the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1) is very important to God.

I personally believe that the compassion that Jesus felt toward people when He healed them and did miracles was a product of faith. Human compassion is not capable of producing a miracle, but Godly compassion will move the heart of God, and when God's heart is moved, that's when miracles begin to happen.

Compassion. It could be very easy to put faith in the wrong place (or person or religion or whatever) but even when compassion is misplaced, it's still pretty good.

I like what Williamzo said. It's better to be misguided than dead.

For me, compassion is more important. I feel that in order to live a full life and to develop spiritually, I need to feel a bond with other human beings. This is as hard for me as having faith would be for some other people.

Not sure why you've put these two things together. For me it's clear, faith for us is of upmost importance. I say this because it is by our faith and the grace of God alone that we are saved.

Compassion is also important of course, but it's God's compassion that we are in most need of, but if we abide in Him then He also abides in us and as a result His compassion and love will be displayed in our relationships towards others, and by this, they will know we are Christian.

Compassion. Faith is good and all but compassion helps to create empathy and that is a gift. Compassion makes you respond better to your fellow human beings.

In all honesty they are one and the same to me. My faith teaches compassion. But my faith without compassion would be hollow and untrue.Hard question to answer friend.

If you are a Christian, TRUE faith will always result in compassion (1. Love God, 2. Love your neighbor as yourself) These are the greatest commandments and unfortunately are also the ones most likely to be ignored

If you have faith in the correct/True God, compassion is shortly to follow. I know this from experience.
