i can well believe it!! saw program last night (Top or 5th gear) and presenter said diesel cars were originally designed to work on COOKING OIL!! and in the show, he was filmed putting chip shop oil (filtered!) in his car and it ran and ran, sounded great. Also ive heard more than once that the battery manufacturers have always known how to make regular batteries re-charge but refuse to release the info because lets face it, think how much we spend on dam batteries, week in week out. i find it incredible that there is no legislation to force big companies to free up information which, as well as saving us zillions, are way way better for the environment. its all about £$£$£$!!!

You know the new LED bulbs will pretty much last few hundred years. If that is true, then people found a way around it. However, I think it is true that someone invented a car that doesn't break down and US car manufacturers bought right to it so that it will not be made. It was made into movie called Tucker, I think.

The nearest thing to an everlasting light bulb is the sun and rumour has it that will die out in a billion years or so... Personally anything that lasts long enough for me to find the last beer in the cellar is just fine with me.

I'd love it to be true as well, so I could have a rant about the multi national capitalist mega corporations which govern our lives far more effectively than any government does. But sadly, I suspect that it's an urban myth.

It is true.
Rumour also has it, that someone came up with cold water fision. This would eliminate the need for oil, and effectively bancrupt USA and OPEC states. He was arrested by the CIA for fraud has has not been seen since!!!!!
