A cat is very curious. And she probably wants to know what all that noise is coming from outside. I would probably go and buy some toys that make noise and keep her preoccupied. When it comes time for night-fall, put her toys on the floor and show them to her. She will be more into the toys she can play with then with the crickets outside.
I hope this helps you. And have a good day!

Put her in a separate room (with a litterbox, food and water) until everyone is settled for the night so she doesn't sneak out.
Even though she is spayed and has her shots she can still get into trouble or hurt. She can get into a fight with another animal, get hit by a car etc. She is much safer in the house.
If you really feel that she needs to go outside then I would get a leash for her and take her for a walk. You will most likely have to first train her to be on a leash though as some cats react negatively to being restricted.

It's tough, because cats love the outdoors! She is probably curious about the crickets, that's why she wants to go out. One thing to remember is that once you let her outside, she will always want to go outside. I have an inside/outside cat who is very good. She stays right around the house. But some cats like to wonder far, and you don't want to be worried about her. I'd say, keep her inside and safe.

Since your cats a stray she in most cases simply demands to be external. A method to preserve her within is to ensure she's used to you first. She could also be seeking to depart on the grounds that she does not believe you. So be relatively type to her then finally permit her out facet. But watch out approximately the irritated golfers. They could harm her. When you permit her external take a seat close her. Then grasp her while she will get too some distance external.

We keep our cat inside by not leaving doors open. We shut him in the basement at night so we don't have to listen to his meowing. He's used to it now; his food, water, blankets, etc. are all in the basement and he likes being there. He spends a lot of time there even in the daytime when he could go upstairs.

Buy some toys that sound like crickets and keep an eye out for the escapee.

my cat does that, he gets really annoying and just MEOWS! it could just be because it wants to play or investigate what the noise is, i let my cat outside, gives him freedom, just ler her out and let her play,[best thing to do is to let her out for short periods at a time, then increase the time a little more each time she goes out so that she wont get hurt and will know what to do when she goes out] then at night to get her back inside shake some food in a bag, she'll be hungry so she's bound to come inside for food

Go to your local pet store and purchase 100 live crickets. Let them loose in your new place.
THIS should definitely keep your kitty occupied for a while. (Watch where you step)
