How does a mother show her love
With every kiss, with every hug.
With every joy, and every tear
With every hope and every fear.
With bandaged wound and bended knee
This is the love my mother showed me.
She reads to you with loving care
And teaches you of God up there.
She's there when nightmares call
She holds you up when you start to fall.
She holds your hand when you aren't strong.
She's there to tell you when you're wrong.
She gives you guidlines and a boundary
Eventually she sets you free.
What greater human love do you know?
That comes with such beauty and such woe?
What human love can compare,
To the love a mother and child share

Of a good Mother, as a Father myself, I recognize some of that as well.

I see it in my Own mom, and my wife.

And of our Holy Mother when praying the Rosary more and more as I grow in faith and devotion.

May God Bless you! (thanks)

Reminds me of every GOOD mother I've ever known.
My mother, my grandmothers, my friends etc.
Thanks for sharing.
It reminds me of how important my duty as a mother really is and how much I love being a mother.

God, I hate poetry. I haven't bothered reading the thing -I mean, come on. It's going to be filled be flowery phrases and softy-softy tosh.
Poetry? Bah! Hang on - I've just read the last few lines - yep, just as I suspected - its codswallop. Oh dear God, I'm gonna hurl!
