I use Tresemme anti- breakage gelatin shampoo and Fructis Fresh conditioner and the shampoo gives me so much dandruff that I could only wash the ends with it. Also, I could not find the ph level anywhere? I have a ton of breakage. I hear my hair *snapping* all the time. What can I do to make it silky shiny and HEALTHY? I heard that Mane 'n Tail works, is that true? Thanks in advance and God Bless.

Um, kitten, yes I've felt a horses tail I'm crazy about them! And I've also felt their coat and nose, so silky soft! And I've heard a lot of bad things about pantene. Like leaves wax on yr hair so ya think it works. Please some useful, not expensive tips and advice that a young person could easily do?

Your hair is probably breaking due to the dandruff in your hair. Is the hair coming directly out of the scalp? Or is it breaking off of the ends? If it's breaking off of the ends, you need to cut your ends ASAP. Trust me, you will notice a lot less breakage immediately. You also need to add products with protein to your hair because proteing strengthens the hair. Sound to me that Tresemme is drying out your hair, causing it to break easy. Try another gentle shampoo. I like Infusium.

Well, i used to have dandruff problems and i have breakage too, but it's getting MUCH better. The shampoo i use is called Pantene Pro-V Anti Dandruff 2-in-1 shampoo, but i alternate it with Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal Shampoo. Neither of these give me dandruff any more. If a shampoo is giving you dandruff, either stop using it, or you're not rinsing properly. With the two shampoos I use, I have just stopped using conditioner altogether because I find that any conditioner gives me dandruff. I have healthy hair now and it does not break, and I don't have split ends or any of that stuff. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem when I perm my hair. The only thing I ve ever found works is the conditioner that comes with hair color . Expensive but it does work, even if u dont use the color. Nice and easy has a large tube of conditioner,u can use it about 5 times. I ve wondered why they just dont give us a choice of just the conditioner.Good luck Curious 2006

Protein treatments and PROFESSIONAL products. You get what you pay for with over the counter products. Go to a salon and ask the advice of one of the stylists. I know products can be expensive but you're going to have a lot more success...FYI, do NOTuse Mane n Tail. Have you ever actually felt a horses tail? It's rough, dry, and scratchy....not something you want on your head. I use Biolage products and I swear by BioSilk silk protein...try it, you'll be surprised.

Sometimes you just cant improve your hair. Some hair doesnt even grow past a certain level. Take vitamins is all I can really recommend!

yeah. Mane 'n Tail is supposed to work. I've never tried it though, but Pro V works really well.

Go to E-Bay and buy some Nutra Renew. I sell this product and it is amazing. I am not trying to sell you anything but if you are interested, you can find it online.
