Its easy, get a pre-lightener like Borne Blonde and this will take the colour out. But make sure you've got another colour to hand, as your hair will be a yukky colour. Make sure your the next colour has red tones in it or it might go green. Obviously it would be better to spend lots dosh and go to the professionals, but sod that!

Hairdressers! They will know exactly what to do to correct colour that's gone wrong.
Til new year at the end of 2005 I had dyed black hair...2 or 3 visits later it was all blonde :-D If it's the first time you've dyed it dark it should shift ok

Oooh..tough one. Well, try highlighting your hair. With the right highlights, your hair can turn out looking dark brown. Also, talk to your stylist to figure out what the best option is to either re-dye or wait for the dye to wear out. A good hair stylist should have the answers, if not, try going in to a different salon just for a consultation.

You could ask at your local hair salon which products can lighten your hair to the shade you want. Different people have varying levels of how porus their hair is, the same dye will come out different. I'm guessing you didn't read the small print that says test on a sample of your hair first, however, least it didn't go bright green eh :)

have it highlighted at a salon, make sure you remember what type of dye you used so you can tell them. Also, in the future if you dye at home, always by a box 1 or 2 shades lighter then you think you want to be so this doesn't happen or use a semi permanent (level 2) dye so it will wash out faster.

this has happened plenty of times to me, after about two weeks of washing it will lighten up and wont be so black, you'll see the brown appear shortly, in some lights it will look dark as it is dark brown but outside etc you'll see the brown in your hair, if it doesnt change ur best going to a hairdresser as trying to lighten it urself is bad (i done it, and my hair got quite badly ruined and dry)

Wash it a couple times with a cheap shampoo. The detergents in it will help strip out the color. Don't worry, it'll fade out soon.

Oh dear. If it's temporary dye, keep washing it, but not too much. If it's permanent, go to a good salon, and ask for their advice. They'll know what to do. Good luck fixing it!
