Religious complain about non-religious woman dressing like prostitutes. So how are Tammy Baker & Jan Crouch any different?

Just because a US senator got caught being a pedofile is no reason that we stop condemning pedofiles. Or should the standard be changed because someone doesn't obey the standard.. ??? Tammy and Jan are not the standard of holiness in our lives or were they ever called to be. The Bible sets the standard and if they don't obey then they answer for themselves and I answer for myself..
This is not kindergarten where I can say Jim Baker did it so why can't I, or Tammy dresses bad so I followed her example..

They don't dress like prostitutes. I've seen how prostitutes on the street dress, and those two women look nothing like them.
Tammy Baker and Jan Crouch are women who are eccentric in their ways of dressing that is for sure. I don't dress like them, it just isn't me, but I'm not going to judge them for the way they dress. Everyone has their own ways and that is why we are all individuals. Why judge them? God loves them just the same as you, me, or anyone else.

That's hard to say. WIth Christianity (and other religions I'm sure), women should dress and be modest. But how do you define modest? When it comes to dress, people have lots of different ideas, so who can say? My answer would be that people should not focus so much on rules or expectations, but rather on God directily. It's not just about clothes. A woman who is sincere and loves God will be modest without thinking about it and it will show. On the other hand a woman who is ...um...prostitute-like...well that will show too, no matter what she is wearing.

They wear a lot of makeup. Their clothes are tacky. Tammy Fay cried a lot. Jan emotes a lot too. I think that they are too old to be attractive to most men. Prostitutes retire at their age.
However, it is what is in their heart that is important to God.

Actually I would complain about any women dressing like prostitutes.
Some things children should not be exposed to.
We pour images of sex and suggestive words into them from a very young age and then are astounded when they start having sex at 15 years old, wonder why they got the STD and ended up pregnant.
Parents, Protect your kids.

Were those women ever attractive enough to even be prostitutes? I know it isn't nice, but c'mon. Are there any
Christians who look at those women and not just feel a little sad -- or just irriated because they have stolen money from people in the name of Jesus.
The point is few Christians see them as role models.

religeous types just like to complain. What can I say they continually cause many souls who might seek Jesus to not want to be associated with Christians or the Bible. My belief is that when rewards are handed out they will be watching. No jewels for you,,,no jewels for you,, no jewels for you

The Word tells us to avoid the appearance of evil. that means don't give the impression that your actions are like the worlds. Those you have named here appear to be like the world and that concerns those who follow Jesus and want to be set apart from the world. the best response to the problem is to pray for those who are giving the appearance of evil and let God deal with them as He knows best how to.
