it's getting cold here and i do need a heater for my room (as others aren't happy to have central heating on all the time). i have fan heater which is good to make your room warm quickly, but it gets cold as quickly. i'm thinking about oil heather. is it better than others and why? or should i buy any other? and what is convector heater? (the cheapest one i found after fan heaters). by the way i'm on limited budget for it. thanks a lot for your help!

I have used many types of heaters i personally like any type of heater that has fluid in it because the fluid stays warm after the heating circuit kicks out .A heater with a fan does not heat after the fan shuts down. The fan type heater has a element in it that gets hot and a fan blows across the coil i don't recommend that for living space.I installed electric base board heat ion a attic last year and i was told it works very well and it is cheap but most are 220 volts but there is no fluid in them but it is cheap heat that works well. The heater with fluid is a softer heat but cost twice as much.Inertherm is one brand that i have used and works well,Good luck
