This site does not have any particular government target..and in USA there is no 'dangerous dog' list, other than in a very few counties..
I am afarid it is just a site to collect emails and addresses..
I have signed several on-line petitions, and this one just doesn't ring true..

Obviously, the people who left negative comments about Rotties have never owned one. Mine just died of lymphnoma cancer Saturday, and is such a great loss to our family. She was the most precious, sweetest, smartest dog you could ever have the pleasure of owning. I know Rotties get that rep, and I was concerned about that when I got her 6 years ago. But after going to a reputable breeder and learning the facts, they are who they are by how the are raised. Bad owners make bad dogs. I am so glad that I was able to have her as part of my life for the last 6 years. I have owned several different breeds, and she was the best. I'll sign your list.

A mean dog is only because of the idiot owner it has. You know a poodle can bite your ear off and no one will say a word. Any breed can be dangerous if in the hands of a maniac. I have known to many "dangerous" breeds that have the best of owners and make wonderfull pets.

I want to sign but yet..I am leary of any petition over the net. I know what you are saying and I have a German Shepherd who is as gentle as can be but yet I have a little chihuahua that is not. Sorry but I just don't trust signing anything on the net. Good luck.

No problem I visit those sites often to fight for animal rights. Those bills drive me crazy, they are punishing the wrong people and dogs. Dogs are a product of their master and they need tougher laws to punish the ignorant, irresponsible owners and not the good. You have my support I have owned Rottweilers and Pit Bulls and they are some of the greatest dogs.

I had 2 rotts and loved them dearly. We had to put our last one to sleep this last May :(

They were great with the kids and the ONLY time they ever showed any aggression was when my bf almost got mugged. He was in the middle of building our house and went to Home Depot right before it closed to buy another saw. (It was dark already and the saw was just over $500) He had the male rott in the cab of his work truck while he was in there and when he came out, 2 shady looking punks were calling to him and asked what he had in the cart. where he was going, etc. They followed him all the way to the truck and kept calling to him to slow down. When my bf got to the truck, he let Magnuss out, our 130 pound rott. Both men stopped in their tracks and said nevermind, they were just kidding. Our rott just stood between the men and my bf and let out a growl and showed his teeth. I don't even want to know what could have happened that night.

I have been nearly bitten in the neck by Rottweilers. So sorry, they are dangerous, more than German Shepards. I have watched a Discovery show on them. They have heavy wild instincts and never meant to be domesticated but they were. Unlike a German Shepard which is very trainable, Rottweilers need an experienced owner who can lead them. When they go to the wrong hands, it is dangerous to the public. I am sorry. I know there are mellow Rottweilers out there but in general, I don't think they are.

where 's a petition for having bad dog owners to be destroyed ? most dogs with the right owner can be trained not to be aggressive. it's the breed of bad dog owners that need to join the dodo bird.

My Pleasure. There are NO bad dogs just bad/ignorant and unsociable owners. I have had Rotti's and Pittbulls and they have been the most wonderful dogs. And No I did not raise them from Pups, I resuced them from Kill shelters.

Pefect proof of how breed specific legislation WILL spread to other breeds. It might be pit bulls today but it will be YOUR breed tomorrow!!!! Dog owners must pull together to end this harmful stupidity before it starts.
