I am reminded of a saying: When you have one foot in yesterday and one foot in tomorrow, you are p*ssing on today. Be in the moment if you are in love.

Age matters sometimes. It all depends on how the relationship is going. If you and the person can get along well and you have your lil' spats and get thru them then go for it.
If you are dealing with someone and it's more of a control issue such as someone acting like your mom or dad then you know this isn't for you.
If you are with someone that loves, respects, and is honest to you then age shouldn't be the major issue.
Good Luck and stop worrying.

My boyfriend is 16 years older then myself as well.
I think it's good to think about these things. You need to be aware. There are more things then just the number. If he is in good shape and active - then I really wouldn't be worried, chances are he will remain active in the future and keep in good health. I would also look at genetics. If most people in his family die in their 60's ... I would be a tad worried.
It's all relative though. And as long as you're both happy who cares?

I think you get to a certain point... prob early 20's, where it doesn't really matter anymore. If you're in love, you're in love. My best friend is 22 (I'm 28) and she married her boyfriend last year who is 37. They have a great relationship. Perfect for each other and compliment each other. I hope I can meet someone who suits me that well. As you get older, age doesn't really matter in friendships and other relationships.

Well, that is a tough one. I like this guy who is 5 years older than me and some people think that is too much. I don't though. I think age doesn't matter if you love someone. Like Aaliyah said "age ain't nothing but a number." Good Luck

16 year difference is not unusual at all, so there really should be no concern about it. The age difference will seem like less, and mathematically is less (percentage-wise) as you grow older, so you definitely should not be worried about that.

No, doesn't matter, unless you're under 18. Once people reach 26, they are usually psychologically mature. Let the future take care of itself.

If he thinks about early retirement, when he's 55 & you are 39 - will that be OK with you ?
Children - will you cope OK if other parents at school think he's the GRANDfather ? Will your children cope with the taunting from other kids ?
Will there be problems if his libido slows down before yours ?
