Hell is for ETERNITY. No quickies here...gnashing teeth and fire forever with no relief.
I believe everything the word of God says, and as we both know, a person doesn't have to go to hell. They choose to go by simply doing...................NOTHING. We are all damned to hell because of our sin nature, but God provided the only way to heaven, and that is through JESUS. It's so simple...yet this world makes it so complicated.

Revelation was written down by John who didn't even understand it because so much of it was given in signs and symbols but the first part of that scripture talks about the Devil, the wild beast and the false prophet and then, it says the part you are quoting. The wild beast is not an animal. It is the political governments with men as their leaders, so it is symbolic. The false prophet is the false religions who claimed to represent God but lied about him, so it is symbolic. The lake of fire and sulphur is defined in the Bible as the 2nd death so, here in this scripture it is symbolic. Given all these symbols, why would you interpret being tormented day and night forever and ever as literal??????
Daniel writing that some who are resurrected will experience everlasting abhorrence shows that they will be hated forever, not tormented or burned. Who is feeding you all this misinformation?

David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades Christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

hell is a holding place until the Judgment seat of Christ. upon being judged then those without their names written in the book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire which is forever. you will sense the torment of failing in complete darkness and will weep and gnash (grind) your teeth. you will be outside of time as God is. Jesus wants all to ask for the Gift of Life. no one should go to hell because they were not given the chance to receive His free gift of salvation by admitting their sins and asking Him to forgive them.

Why might you utilize some thing you haven't got self assurance in to get Christians to not have self assurance in it? Why use that argument? If i circulate to hell, it rather is because of the fact I failed at believing Jesus's teachings. I wasn't actual in my ideals. it rather is my duty, I settle for it. even nonetheless, I even have self assurance in Jesus's promise. Like Pascal suggested, I even have each and everything to earnings and not something to lose by potential of believing in those teachings.

I believe that Hell will be very real, and it will be a place of eternal torment. There will be much gnashing of teeth.
