I dated a minister of the same faith; he turned out to be just like any other guy I dated in the past that wasn't in church. What was up with this?

Ok, not all guys are the same. Not all guys are bad. I don't go out seeking guys. I don't believe women should. I think a man should seek out the woman. However, if someone has told you that they're looking for marriage and commitment and you are too ... you think you might have something. Instead, you find out soon that they are lying and being immature about everything. It gets to be too much.

i am a Christian and I serve God with my life. i don't date and people think im just plain weird.. but i don't think that that is what God intended for us to do. today, girls are just running after boys and being so immoral.. that isn't the way it is supposed to be.. BUT.. if God sets two people in each others paths, of course we have to get to know them if they are serious about the relationship and really love us, as well as God..

He's a human male and human males tend to act in a similar way. Has to do with body chemistry more than beliefs. Don't expect a person to be a saint just because they are a minister.

The man who doesn't act like a man is probably not really physically attracted to you, which would make for severe problems with your sex life down the road. Would you rather have a man who shows you off as a trophy or one who wants to satisfy you?

The important question is do you know how to say no when needed so that a man honors your request? Most men will. They may be reluctant, but if they really like you and want to continue their relationship with you, they will. If not, they aren't what you want anyway and you can tell them to take a hike!

I agree. I am by no means a "man hater" or anything like that, but sometimes dating seems rather pointless. It's like you go out with a guy and he thinks because he bought you a $10 plate of chicken that somehow means you're obligated to put-out. That or they're dating 10 other women or have some sort of mysterious baggage. I knwo there are good guys out there but generally speaking if someone is great then they're taken.

Isn't the point of dating to find out if you're compatible, share values, have common goals and actually like the person? If they are all "just like any other guy" then you're making some bad choices in who you date, or possibly haven't clearly defined what you're looking for. Men you date for fun may not share the same qualities as men you date for marriage.

ummmm because he is a guy?

All guys.. ok.. not ALL but almost all guys that are 'dating' are looking for a casual relationship - one that does not require monogmay. And.. this is really a good thing.. because it lets you date a lot of guys without having to worry about someone getting mad at you for somethning.... the only difference between guy's dating and girls dating casually is that the guys are looking to have sex within the first 3 dates... if it goes beyond that then they will most likely drop you. And hey.. if you are cool with that and are willing to do that.. then there really isn't any problem..

so.... as long as you know the rules and play by then.. then its cool!!!

I've been on several 3 and out dates.. because while I liked the guy.. i wasn't willing to put out for him... I've also been on some dates where we wound up in bed on the first or second date as well.... so it all matters what you like and such...

don't hold someone up to a higher standard just because of their vocation.. thats as bad as men thinking that all gymnests are animals in bed!!!!

I feel the same about women. they seem to lie about what they really want from a relationship. the last girl I dated went out with me just to make her ex jealous! then when he asked her back she did and didnt tell me! but I still have faith and so should you. just be yourself avoid the users and things will eventually work out
