I'm sorry but you misspelled Lord in the second part of your question.
Is Jesus Lord, or the son of the LORD?
This means is your question is really,
Is Jesus Lord, or the son of Jehovah?
The answer is yes, Jesus is a King, or ruler which makes him a Lord.
Yes, Jesus is the son of Jehovah. as a matter of fact Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of Jehovah.
(Col 1:15, Rev. 3:14 teach that Jesus is the only creature directly created by Jehovah. All other things were created in cooperation, Jesus as Jehovah's Master Worker.)

He is the only begotten Son of God.For Him to not be would contradict scripture. For God cannot be tempted James 1:13 yet Jesus His Son was lead into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil for forty days,Luke 4:1-2.No man hath seen God at anytime John 1:18.Yet Jesus walked this earth and showed himself to doubting Thomas even after His death and resurrection as well to many others. And yes He was definitely a cool guy with a lot of progressive idea's , but what can you expect from the Son of God ?

Jesus most certainly was Lord of lords, and King of kings. And He was the Son of God. He most certainly was far more than just a "cool" guy, and He had far more than "progressive ideas. He had the truth to tell to the world; and He was the truth. (John 14:6) Many people do not even know what the word "lord" means. But it means being in full control, being master of, or in charge of. He is Lord of a person's life, only if they allow Him to be. Many people invite Him into their heart, and He becomes their Savior of their soul. But many do not allow Him to Lord of their life for very long. Or they come to a point in time in their life, when they fall back into sin, and they for a certain period of time do not allow Him to be Lord of their life; until they repent of their sin, and allow Him to take full control of their life once again. You can rest assured, Jesus is Lord; whether you choose to allow Him to be your personal Lord or not.

"The idea of God, with all conception of Him, having been thus rent asunder, it is my purpose to treat, in their order, of God the Creator, of the Lord the Redeemer, and of the Holy Spirit the Operator, and lastly of the Divine trinity, to the end that what has been rent asunder may be again made whole; which is done when the reason of man is convinced by the Word and by light therefrom that there is a Divine trinity, and that the trinity is in the Lord God the Savior Jesus Christ, like the soul, the body, and what goes forth from these, in man; and that thus this article in the Athanasian Creed is true:"
"In Christ God and man, or the Divine and the Human, are not two, but are in one person; and as the rational soul and the flesh are one man, so God and man are one Christ." -- True Christian Religion n.4[3]:

Jesus is the Son of God, the second part of the Trinity, so to answer your question, He is the Son who is Lord!

He is both Lord God and the one and only Son of God. He is fully man and fully God in one person. As the Lord God He is fully God. As the Son of God He is fully man and is often called the Son of Man because He is the only man who ever lived as God originally intended man to live-sinless.

God promised Adam that he would return in the flesh and shed his blood on Golgotha to save his descendants. Jesus is not the whole God, but, a part of God. Thus the Trinity.
