Chew parsley after eating a garlicky dish to get rid of that garlic breath.
Touch the garlic smell away: Just rub your hands on your faucet or a stainless steel spoon and the odour will go away!!! (Contributed by C. Dacre)
Crushing Garlic:
Don't hassle with peeling garlic for crushing! Take a wide edge knife and pound the garlic under it with your fist! If that doesn't work, put the garlic in a plastic bag and pound it with a mallet or hammer...works great! You can also nuke it! (Contributed by P. Lester)

The best way is not to use the awful stuff in the first place. Just the smell makes me retch and when it's on someone's breath .... well. However if you must use such muck do as the Indians an Pakistanis do to get rid of the noxious odour. Eats dishes using lots of parsley which helps nullify the effect of the garlic producing sulphur salts in the stomach and thus causing the smell when the blood goes through your lungs. An alternative is to chew aniseed seeds and swallow the juices. To get it off your hands use a strongly scented soap or detergent or better still handle it whilst wearing rubber gloves.
By the way in every recipe that I use that includes garlic I omit it and the dish tastes just as good if not better.

I used to work in a restaurant and used lemon juice to get rid of the onion smell from my hands. If it works on onion smell, I'm sure it will work on garlic smell. The acid in the lemon juice breaks down the oils in onions.

LEMON.
Zest a lemon and rub your hands with it. Eating a lemon and chewing a bit of the zest will get rid of the smell too. (It is a little bitter, but it works.)

Add a couple drops of Vanilla to a bowl of water. Gargle with some and soak your hands in the rest for a minute or two. Old pickle maker's trick.

Lemon helps! Rub a cut lemon on your hands. Suck the juice from a slice, too.

for your hands, wash them and then wipe them against some stainless steel. It sounds crazy but it actually works.... you can try lemon juice on them as well.
As for your breath, try one of those gums with a crunchy outer shell, usually they are really strong. (Dentyne ice)
