Coconuts! They love shredding the hair off it and it's really difficult for them to break (nearly impossible!). They are a perfect toy for a bully breed.

Then there is a toy called a jolly ball. They have a have a handle on them and are pretty big. They are used with horses as well. But they work great for pits. Look them up on the net.

Another "toy" that pits love is a springpole. You need to supervise them with it though. Search the net for more info as well.

Our dog is a Chow/Cocker Spaniel mix and while we do get her plush toys, within days the stuffing is strewn out about the house and the furry covering is plucked from the toy, leaving it with little bald spots. (And yet she still loves them. So adorable! She's got a "once-plush-now-floppy" Blue's Clues that she still takes with her around the house!
But she REALLy loves her hard Nylabones. It's extremely durable. I think we've got one that's last over a year now - and shows no signs of going anywhere soon. It's her FAVORITE toy. Almost like her pacifier - she'll bring it with her on the bed and chew on it for a few minutes before settling down to lick the sheets like she always does before she falls asleep. But yeah. I think they call them the "Wolf" sizes/style of NylaBones. You can get them at pretty much any of the big petstores - PetCo or PetSmart. We happen to have the one with the green rubber in the center and the nylabone material at either end - that's the one that our dog really likes....

I have a pitbull mix and I went through two of the red large kong balls. I finally found the extra large black kong toy and it has been about a month and he hasn't made a dent on it yet. It said it was for pitbulls, rottweilers, mastiffs etc. Hopefully that will work!! None of the other ones held up.

Did you try the Nyla Bones or products made by Nyla. They have the hard and edible ones. We buy the hard ones for our Pit Bull and Lab, they last forever. They come flavored to. You can buy them any where, Petco or Pet supplies, I would tell ya PetSmart but they banned the "bully" breeds from their programs, so I am protesting them.

at petco they sell these tires they come in small medium and large i bought a medium one for my pit and he has yet to tear it up and he tears up EVERYTHING that i give him it costs like 20 dollars but it has lasted us 2 months now. sometimes you will just have to give them toys that they will chew up especially if they chew up the kong toys it is really hard for dogs to chew those up if you get the right size one they do make them for large dogs the rubber is harder and they are larger it will make it harder for him to chew when it is bigger

The extra hard black Kongs are supposed to be indestructable. I'm not sure if you have tried that one.

Avoid bones as they are harder than their teeth and can easily cause fractured teeth which are very painful and dangerous for your dog.

well i gave my pittbull an old tire but if you dont want to do that i guess you could give your dog a bone ( from petco like bone in one of the aisles) to bury or a harder bigger ball than what you gave he or she

Give them hard rubber balls which are larger than their mouth. That won't be easy to rip apart!

Unless the toys are made out of hard metal, forget about it.
