All citizens have to have an ID card. Whether you were born here or not. It is the law. Without an ID card or drivers license, you lose some of the freedoms you have in this country.
Cashing checks
Driving
Opening accounts, getting credit, buying anything at certain places
Buying cigarettes, alcohol
Getting a car, place to live.
They may not do that in other countries but that is how it is here. We all have to do it, not just you or whoever you know that came here from somewhere else. Do not feel singled out as a immigrant (if you are one) because of that.

No, you do not have to carry your green card with you all the time (as well, as you do not have to carry your SScard with you).
When you have a green card, you can make a photocopy and have it with you. Also, apply for a State issued ID card or DL -- this document shall be with you for identification purposes.

The above record is nice, yet i'd upload "selflessness"to it. you ought to be prepared to enable your mate to be thierself till it really is negative to the relationship. Faithfulness is likewise paramount. Infidelity, in any variety, is negative.
