i have seen a program that lets you download and change the start up and log off screen and also changes the color of your start menu and changes the looks of the folders.doesn anyone out there know what i am talking about? i hope because i dont know how to explain it.

Are you talking about the "screensaver"?
Right-cl on a blank spot of the desktop.
cl Properties
Carefully check out all the tabs.
To change icons for folders on the desktop, right-cl the current icon.
You will see a button to "change icon."
Bear in mind that some icons cannot be changed, for example, those created by the programmer of a program. Many can be changed. You will know by the appearance of the button -- whether it is grayed out or not, or if it is even displayed.
