im 16, 5'9, and I only way 90lbs. And no, i dont have an eating disorder. I run 5 miles a day for cross country, but i eat plenty of healthy food, more than enough food. I eat all the time when im not even hungry. I dont mind the way i look, but people always stare at me wherever i go because im so thin and i hate it. I just want to gain some weight so that I wont stand out so much.

Carbohydrates such as oatmeal and rice will give you the necessary fuel for your running. You can also eat pasta, potatoes and other whole grains.Make sure that you eat enough protein in order to recover from your work outs as well. The addition of good fats can also pay dividends in time.Peanuts, cashews and even peanut butter are some great sources. You can also eat canned tuna in oil.The oil it's packed in is actually healthy if used in moderation.
I don't recommend this for you,but I had to consume 7000 calories a day before I started gaining alot.Eat 6-8 times a day and drink plenty of fluids.Rest is important as well so you may want to switch to training every other day or even less with more intensity.

I kinda feel where your coming from because im 5'8-or 5'9 and i only weigh 123 pounds but i figure screw the rest yeah im small but im beautiful so it doesnt bother me what others may think about me and as far as gaining weight i dont no what to tell you cause i dont really no how cause i eat anything and everything all day 24/7 and i dont gain not one pound because i have a fast metabolism maybe you have a fast metabolism too which means when your body turns your food into energy faster then others body which causes you not to gain weight but to have more muscle or not gain weight maybe oyu should speak with your doctor to see if you do have a fast metabolism cause i know i do and maybe slim people run in your family either on your father or mothers side and soemhow the trait has passed down to you because my father and on his side everyone is all skinny and slim so i guess i sort of took after my fathers side

Okay I have your problem, and here is some serious answers that I have researched/been told. First of all, still eat healthy, dont stuff yourself silly, and do excercise.

Eat higher calorie fruits and veggies (bananas, carrots, apples basically any fruit and veggie that is not watery.

protein! Eat lean meat, eat peanutbutter, ask your doctor about taking some protein powder, my doc prescribed me some to take, and it actually doesn't taste to bad.

Eat healthy high calorie foods like nuts, legumes, wheat crackers.

Never be plain. Top your toast with maregines made with healthy fats, peanut butter, jelly. add cheese to your scrambled eggs. This will add calories without filling you up. Cook with healthy olive oil and sprinkle it on your saled, add eggs, crackers and other filling stuff to your salads. fill omelets with cheese and veggies. Order creamy soups.

Swich to whole grains, there healthier and more calorie dense. Eat complex carbohydrates, not loads of sugar.

Eat 3 meals and at least 3 snacks.

here are some healthy high calorie snack ideas.

1. plain full fat yogurt and frozen berries blended together and some peanuts mixed, makes a great dip.

2. Cheesy garlic bread made with whole wheat bread.

3.peanut butter on toast with bananas washed down with full fat milk.

4.whole wheat blueberry muffins, or pancakes

5. Pasta!

6. homemade pizza.

Now, If you wanna gain weight but still be healthy do weight training and resistance excercises. Do crunches, and buy hand and ankle weights, and use them. And jump rope too, or swim.remember muscle ways more than fat

To know what the right weight for you you have to look at several things

How you feel
Your frame
how much muscle you have

And remember, they may just look at you because your so fit and healthy and look great!

Oh God, I wish I had this problem.
Well, first of all make sure you're eating enough protein.
And that doesn't just mean meat. There are many other sources of protein, like rice & beans, tofu, & peanut butter.
Many vegetables also have protein.
Eating enough protein will ensure you're not losing muscle mass from your running.
Anything else, and you will gain fat, so just be aware of that.
If you want to gain fat, then here are a few hints:
Eat something late at night. Not only will this be more likely to turn into fat, but it will make you more hungry when you wake up the next day.
Drink lots of fruit juice.
Peanut butter & banana sandwiches will do it too.
