I told my daughter that she is not open for buisness. And her teacher told her that it is old fashioned and unrealistic parents like me causing teenage pregnancy. The only way I found out was the Drs. office called to confirm. I was there waiting for them. When her teacher heard Mom? She immidiately asked for security. This just happened an hour ago. Is this criminal?

I cannot believe there are people saying that this is not only excusable , but somewhat admirable!!
All these same people would be outraged if the teacher took their kid to get ears pierced without their permission. These same public schools wont even give your kid a TYLENOL without permission from a parent, and thinks its ok to put her on a prescription medication for birth control? It doesn't even matter what its for , ITS A PRESCRIPTION!! So the teacher is WAY out of line and needs repercussions. As far as legality goes, I'm not sure, but in my state, the teenager doesnt need ANY adult to get on birth control, they can just walk into any "Planned Parenthood" clinic and get on it. Its beyond belief!!! I'm sick of people saying that teaching a kid abstinence is unrealistic and a waste of time! If they don't hear it from you, they will never hear it from anyone. This society is all about casual sex, whenever, with whoever, you go girl..blah blah blah. Just look at how many fewer pregnancies there were back when promiscuity was actually considered something bad! Now its a free for all, and I for one will NEVER tell my daughter to go for it.

Call the American Center for Law and Justice- IF this did happen it needs to be dealt with. A teacher has no rights to impersonate or demean the parents authority.
Not only are birth control pills a problem in the area regarding sex but they are handing these things out like candy and the long term side effects are not something your daughter wants to have to deal with down the road - they are unhealthy.
It is ridiculous for a person to teach the abstinence is old fashioned and unrealistic- teach your daughter to have more respect for herself and her body . Having sex does not make you grown up- if you cant deal with having a baby- the lack of self control makes you immature!
She should also know that no birth control except for abstinence is 100% effective.

This is terribly wrong. First, she was being an imposter - there should be something criminal in that. Next, report her to the principal of the school and the school board, and don't stop until they do something. Also contact the teachers' union or teachers' certification - whatever it is called where you are, where they certify teachers. Make sure you are making formal complaints, not just phone calls. Talk to people in person, and write letters. OMG, can't believe someone would do this!

Yes, this is very criminal. You need to make the prinipal aware of this as well as your local police. This is an invasion of privacy, not to mention a fraudulent case. Her teacher falsly impersonated you and therefore that is a crime. Also, you need to make it very clear to that teacher that she has no right impossing on your religious beliefs. If my daughters teacher ever did that, I would file a police report and make a big stink at the school. That teacher needs to be taken out of the whole education system. She is teaching your daughter how to lie and commit forgery. It's bad enough we have to worry about them getting a good education, but that teacher is teaching bad education. You need to follow this through so that all parties involved understand the severity of it all. Good luck and GOD bless you.

I don't know if it is criminal, but I would report the teacher to the school board at once. She had no right to a)judge you or b)take your daughter anywhere without your permission. Thank god you got that phone call!!

After you come down off the ceiling (I would be there if I were you too) you need to have a quiet heart to heart with your daughter about what she was doing and why she was doing it. Don't fall in to the angry mom place....try really hard to listen and be calm. Good luck...

I would say yes.

Impersonating anothers identity is criminal and should be reported.

After that, let the justice system handle it, as the teacher is not part of your Christian family, so handling it inside church would not be possible.

You may like the outcome, you may not like the outcome, but the point will be that at least you did what you could within the limits of the system in place for this.

Identity theft is now considered criminal, and can and will be punished.

Wow. If that really happened, your daughter's teacher is as good as fired. And, I would hope you would support your daughter starting birth control, as you have no actual control over whether she has sex. Sure, I think it's stupid for a 15yo to be having sex, but at least she would not get pregnant.

Sounds like it's time you treat your daughter as an intelligent human being and sue the hell out of her teacher.

Being the person I am with a 13yr daughter I wont say what I would of done, I'd be in jail. You should inform the school ASAP, ask the teach "what gave u the right" get your daughters class changed, and have a long talk with your child + punishement for the deception!

yes, call the police and file a lawsuit against both the school district and the teacher herself. the identity theft of the teacher alone is enough to be criminal activity.

now just because you need to get your daughter on the pill cause she is obviously "active" doesnt give the teacher right to impersonate you. Take it to the school board but also, you cannot stop your daughter from "doing it" aside from a medival chasisty belt. this is something you really need to think on. you need to hang that teacher though and if the school board won't do something about it go to the newspaper first...
