My 8 month old kitten lost a friend recently so I got him a 6 week old male kitty as a playmate. Now he jumps on top of him and licks him all over, even his butthole and penis. The 6 week old trys to fight him off and runs away but he chases him down grabs him again and licks away.

Your older cat is probably trying to be endearing to your kitten by cleaning him. They learn it from their mothers to show affection you clean. He is loving him not wanting him.

No. I have two male cats and they're both brothers and often times they clean each other, even if it means biting or pouncing on them to get them clean. This is their way of showing affection as someone else mentioned above.
If it gets to the point where he's mounting him, you might want to startle him while he's in the act by spraying him with some water or shaking a can of pennies. This will startle, not scare him...in time he'll learn.

I've heard that dogs can be gay, but not cats. It's normal for cats/ kittens to lick each other all over. Nothing sexual involved. Silly!

Oh, for heaven's sakes, get with modern times. Cats are not "gay" -- they have merely "chosen an alternate lifestyle." What are you, some sort of cat prude???
Nope, your kitten is not gay. Your kitten is just being a kitten ... which means pouncing and purring and wiggling and wriggling and licking and biting and playing!!! If this behavior bothers you, perhaps you could just distract your kitten with a toy.... and stop stressing over this.

As a Born Again Christian, I believe that practising homosexuality is a sin. Your kitten is licking the private parts of another male kitten. This is called living a gay lifestyle. It is sinning in the eyes of the Lord.
Whilst there are some successful programmes for adults, convincing a cat to give up its gay ways is much more difficult, as cats do not cooperate willingly.
I have heard talk of a priest in California who cured a bear of buggery, if that is any help.

WOW you should not have animals if you think they are gay. I have 2 cats one older than the other & they are constantly CLEANING each other not having oral sex because animals as far as I know do not do this. What's wrong with people in the world??

As far as I know, cats are not prone to oral sex.
He's probably just trying to clean his new friend... my dog does this to my kitten as well. It's weird, but I figure live and let live.
