The relationship with my step-father is great. Ever since my mother passed away in December, it seems as if we are closer than what we were before. I call him from time to time to check up on him to make sure that everything with him is going ok. I can't go to his house to check up on him because I live in Las Vegas and he lives in Virgina (my home state, born and raised). It feels good to hear his voice and to know that he is ok. I care more about him than my own father, because of the fact that he was here for me more than my birth father. I love him and sometimes wish that he was living out here with us. So that we could be closer. Now the relationship with my mother was good, even though we had our differences there was still strong love there. Hey, she's was my mother, I never disrespected her. I was just hard-headed as she would say.....lol. I miss her, dearly. I want to let her know that she did a fine job of raising me to be the strong wife, mother, sister, and friend that I am today.

Great.... now that I don't live with them. My mother and I have always been close, but we are too much a like and butt heads alot. I am (and always will be) a daddy'd girl. He will still drop everything to help me out. I love my parents. They are great parents and even better grandparents.

Love both my parents but closer to my father than mother. Mother never really gave us as kids the "motherly love " we all craved growing up. But my father made up for it. I would absolutely drop everything for that man.
