Our black lab puppy is almost 5 months old... I know she's teething, she'll chew on anything. Last night we noticed something on the floor under her while she was chewing on a raw hide, it was a tooth! Is that normal? Do puppies loose teeth when they're teething?

My puppy is currently teething and I've found teeth as well. It's totally normal. One thing that my pup likes is when I put peanut butter in his Kong Toy, and then freeze it overnight. It takes him awhile to get it all out (which gives me time to do whatever) and it seems to feel good. Check out the Kong line of toys -- they rock... lots of luck

Don't worry about it, that is normal. Might I suggest something other than raw hide though. Raw hide is hard on the digestive systems of dogs, especially puppies. It can cause a blockage that must be removed with surgery. When I worked as a Vet. Tech., we had more than one dog come in for exploratory surgery & when we opened them up there was a glob of raw hide. Go for something that can be chewed on but that can either be digested or not eaten at all. There are Nylabones, etc. Just a suggestion.

Pigs ears ARE good, I see that was mentioned. Another thing that is good are cow hooves.

Yes, it is completely normal. Just like children lose their baby teeth, so do puppies.

The rare part is finding one .... LOL. Most often the pup swallows them. I do, however , have four of my pup's baby teeth that I found on the floor when she was chewing on things :-)

Yes they do. A good trick for teething pups, Frozen rawhide, the cold helps with the teething discomfort.

Yes it's normal. You don't usually see them because they usually swallow them. But some times you'll find them laying around. Good Luck with your puppy!!

Yes it's normal, they usually swallow them though.
P.S. Get them pig ears vs rawhides. They are better for them.
