im am a jealous person, all i can say is that its a desperate emotion. it defys sense or logic and doesnt mean a lack of trust in others but rather a lack of confidence in ones self.

it is possible to get help for these emotions without getting too invasive and preachy.

the first step, as always, is admitting you've got a problem. it is very important to have a lot of support and reassurance though. then you can get more help over the net by way of books and councilors and stuff.

Yes, sometimes. And I'm jealous, too. A little bit of jealousy didn't ever hurt a relationship. It's like you give a new taste to an unsalty soup. You flavour and spice the life together. Nice, hmm?

My bloke used to be very jealous but I've managed to calm him quite a bit. I told him that If he wanted to get jealous and scared and generally make himself feel bad - he could! But he shouldnt expect me to feel bad for him on account of his own insecurities. I said that he was welcome to join me in the "real" world whenever he was ready. Also I told him that I dislike him when he is jealous and would be more likely to find someone else when I'm angry with him so he better keep me sweet! Xx

sometimes, but it is not how other people approach you, it's how you handle a situation on your own. if a guy(or girl) comes on to you, and you like it, or give it hope, than he should be jealous. but if you pay it absolutely no attention, then he should be able to trust you.

there is no way to control what people say to you or how they stare you down, only how you react to the gesture.
