Would you worship something more if it could be seen?
Sure, gravity and air cannot be seen, but people do not worship these things.
They take them for granted but do not worship them because they are a part of everyday life.
Think back to when you were a child. No doubt Santa, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy were real to you. Writing a letter to Santa, putting a tooth under your pillow etc is a form of worship.
You grow up and realise it is not real, but, really... define worship.
Quite simply, some people worship because it is right for them, they find comfort in the belief of something greater.
People in general do not worship the known, they worship - and have faith - in the unknown, for that brings them greater comfort.

Because sight is not your only sense.
Theres, sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch and feel.
When I say touch and feel, no I'm not going crazy, they are seperate.
Touch refers to physically touching and feeling a physical entity.
Where as feel, is like when you feel love.
You feel it deep down inside you.
"Being the One is like being in love. No one can tell you that you are, you just know it." - The Oracle, The Matrix
This quote depicts this point quite well, however it is easier to understand, in referral to your above question, if you substitute 'the one' for 'religious believer'.
Wether you can see what you worship or not, doesn't stop it from being there in your heart and in your soul.
And that is why people worship something which they can't necessarily physically see.

Well, are you breathing right now? Can you see the air that you are breathing? Though it is invisible, you know it exists. What force keeps you from floating off into space? Though you can't see gravity, you know it exists. What runs the power to the computer you are using? Electricity is invisible, but you know it exists. The same is true of God(Psalms 83:18) Though he is invisible, we can see from the things he has created, that he exists.
Romans 1:20 confirms this--"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." NIV

Is it so simple minded to believe? I once wondered that but does it also take faith not to believe? No one to this day has ever completely proved evolution as fact, so to believe in evolution takes a amount of faith.
To have a beliefs system that sole explains life as a bunch of the right chances happening in the right place at the right time for the right out come for life to form in just the right way. to then evolve in just the right timing and in the right place to continue on and at some point man came in to existence just by chance. That doesn't make man worth very much. No design, no purpose, no plan, we are just here. Way too much faith for me to grab on to.
But a creator with designed purpose for each ones existence, with meaning and driven purpose behind each and every creation. That give value and worth to us all. Is it hard to grasp? I think so but it is far easier to believe compared to the other choices out there. Still can you measure the realness behind something that can not be seen by the human eyes? That is a question of faith.
Faith is the evidence of things not seen, a belief in things not heard. Faith is not measured by what the eyes can see or what the hand can touch, it is by nature something you either have and trust or you don't have and could care less about. to those who have it, it is very real, very meaningful and can be a driving force behind the actions that are the guidelines of their lives.
But even faith can be used and abused by many. When that happens it calls in to question the realness of all faith, and rightfully so. When faith is real, it is seen by all in the actions of the person, but is it is not real it also shows in that actions also.
Faith is not just mere words but it is deeds of selflessness and compassion that are the real measurement of faith. Just stand back and watch the truly faith will be seen not by the words they claim but the actions of their lives. That is how you measure faith and how one believes in things not seen.

There are so many questions about hell and damnation. Then you have the freaks who are convinced that the Bible says we are in our last days etc. My suggestion is to relax and have a Coke and watch television until some of this compulsive religion leaves your body LOL.

To the retards who said "some crap about gravity and wind": Please remember that these forces can been measured very accurately. I can go get an anemometer and measure the wind, or a spring balance to measure gravity. Unless you dumbasses have some kind of secret "god-meter" you're not telling us about, stop using that awful analogy.

Y believe that God isn't real when He clearly is? Only a fool would believe there is no God.

There is so much that we believe that we can't see! Gravity is the main one, the wind, etc.
