I have been to the doctors twice a week to check my high white blood cell count. It is at 24.6. I am not noticabally sick, I don't feel sick. Nothing. My grandmother, mother, and sister have all experienced this too. They never found an answer for any of them, they were tested for everything from breast cancer to lukiema. Now I'm going throught the tests, everything is normal? Any insite would be appericated.

I know that is called leucocytosis, or neutrophilia. the most common cause is a bacterial infection or an accute inflammation, or in the worst case, as a result of a malignancy. if everything is normal with you, is good to know that in many cases individuals score valors are naturally higher than the official score. remember that score is just a statistical figure and your body can have different normal values.

I have had the high white cell count too and that was when I was in the hospital. They gave me some med to help bring it down. All I know is that it could lead to some form of cancer. I would find another doctor because the one I had was from a small town and he knew what was going on. I wish I had better answers.
