I tried Web MD, but it didn't seem to be any help. Anyway, for about two weeks now I have been suffering from the following symptoms: diarreah, some weight loss, loose stool, nausea, general stomach discomfort, fatigue. I'm not sure what's causing it but it won't seem to go away. I have my good days and bad days, but it's been pretty consistent for the last two weeks. I also have rarely had any good "solid" stools within the last two weeks. Also sometimes when I think I have to have a bowel movement a small ammount clear liquid comes out, There have been no drastic changes to my lifestyle or diet and I'm not taking any new medications. I'm beginning to get worried and I'm wondering if this could be a serious problem. What could this be?

It could anything from something very serious to a nasty virus that is not going away. I would see a doctor if you can. The weight loss is probably from loss of fluids from the diarrhea. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. Eat solid foods when you can.

So, please go to a doctor if you can afford to.

Good luck, hope you get better soon.

Your symptoms appear to conform to Inflammatory Bowel Disease, but there could easily be a more trivial or serious cause than this. However anything that goes on for more than a few days as in your case could mean a chronic condition has developed, or is in the making, especially if you have not recently changed your diet. The earlier the identification, the better the prognosis. Therefore you are strongly recommended to see a doctor ASAP, they will be able to carry out some of the following tests until they kind a likely culprit, which will involve both visual inspection of your digestive system and biochemical tests.

esophagogastroduodenoscopy
abdominal ultrasound/CT scan
colonoscopy
blood tests such as complete blood count, liver enzymes, electrolytes, renal function, possibly an erythrocyte sedimentation rate test
stool chemistry (tests for malabsorption conditions), stool microbiology, fecal fat
H2 tests for lactose intolerance and fructose malabsorption

It is impossible to make a competent diagnosis, without being able to put you through a number of tests. An initial screening may involve understanding your familial & personal clinical history accompanies by a physical exam, as well as a full blood count, electrolytes, renal function, and an erythrocyte sedimentation rate, although this latter test may only be of limited value. Progression to other modalities will occur only if a diagnosis has not been obtained from this initial screening.

See a doctor, but meanwhile you need to get more fiber. Try taking 1-2 tablespoons of psyllium mixed with a glass of water each day to bulk up your stools. You could also become dehydrated if you're having diarrhea.
Cut sugar, fats, oils, sodas, coffee, junk/fast foods and eat healthy foods. Include 1-2 cups a day of PLAIN yogurt to help correct the bacteria in the colon. (don't use any yogurts with flavors)

Sometimes when a person has a mild stomach/intestinal upset, the body has trouble recovering due to the bacterial imbalance, dehydration, and poor diet, so the symptoms continue.

But you should see a doctor.

If you have diarrhea and don't want to see the doctor yet, stop solid foods for 48 hours. Drink any CLEAR liquids, broths, jello. Nothing creamy. After the 48 hours, try a little chicen and rice...maybe even chicken rice soup. Then gradually add other food items. If you get the diarrhea back, see a doctor. All of the other symptoms could be a result of diarrhea.
