Yes, pretty recently as a matter of fact. It was more of a shock than anything else. I take it one day at a time and try not to think about it so that it doesn't hurt so much. He obviously wasn't the one that I'm supposed to be with or we'd be together. But, what I know in my head doesn't always agree with what I feel in my heart. I still love him and I still miss him, but this too shall pass. Everyone tells me that there's no quick fix and that only time will heal. Here's hoping it's sooner than later.

lots of times, some big some small but its never nice.

people will tell you that time heals all wounds, but thats an incorrect statement. what they mean to say is that in time you will be able to heal yourself, through lifes distractions and positive thinking. If its really bad you may never be able to forget the circumstances, but you will get to the point where you can look back and be thankful for the good times and feel remorse rather than pain when you think of how it ended.

not a great promise of future happiness im afraid, but i always thought its better to be frank and truthful in these situations.

Yes, I wanted to die, I didn't eat for days, I lost 35lbs., I cried all day, and didn't want to get out of the bed. Then I decide to let go of the hurt, Started to work again, date, then I meant this wonderful person who was even more then I ever wanted. And little by little it went away. Just do thing to get your mind off of the hurt, and put yourself in that persons shoes maybe they were unhappy and everyone has the right to be happy, even if it hurts you!

I happened to me once and for sure it will happen again....
You learn great lessons when somebody breaks your heart, but you have to be really careful about your feelings and how you see the life, above all you can´t be a victim, yo need to be a survivor, and, if you take the pain as a school yo will learn what life is and you will know of wich material you were made from,
Walk on it.....!!!!!!!!

I think that all of us have. As you get older it will have happened several times. Sometimes it is our own fault, we do something stupid and pay the price. Sometimes it is not our fault, it is the other one who did something wrong. Both hurt and are hard to get over. We just have to learn from our mistakes and the mistakes of the other one and try to move on, not making those mistakes again or learning to see the mistakes in others.

Hi,

I think at one point or another, every person has had their heart broken.

The main thing to do to get over it is to realise that time has a way of healing your hurt and that there are always more options.

I'm in the throes of heartbreak right now. I think my heart will remain broken for the rest of my life. Some things you simply never get over.
